Opening in February, 2011, Salt River Fields will become the new spring training home for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.
The stadium design offers completely open fan observation areas, allowing glimpses into the players’ daily lives and training routines. The stadium is at the heart of the development, with batting cages, practice fields and clubhouses radiating around it. The site also supports 12 practice fields and two soccer fields at the facility.
When it opens, Salt River Fields will be active 365 days a year and will host numerous community activities including youth camps, community events, festivals, retreats and facility rentals for conferences, parties and other large gatherings.
